COLLEGE
What I hope to accomplish by going to college is that I will succeed and accomplish my life long dreams. Make friends, don't become a mother(That would suck and be hard to juggle school and a kid) don't party too much, and get/have a good GPA. Im going to college to further my education but im also wanting to college for myself, to better myself. Mainly the characterization that I am looking for in college is not a big party school, known for good passing and graduating students, nice professors, good time classes and location all matter to me the most. I don't know exactly whose input I would use when it comes to choosing a college. But, I would probably say my uncle because he just graduated with his doctors degree and he knows ALOT about college. Last, College will help me with who and what I want to become in the future that I choose my life to become.

GET A JOB!
Okay, well after some looking around this is the same website that I got my own job off of. The website is called Snagajob.com . The job that I thought someone might like to work is a host/hostess at cracker barrel in Desoto , Texas. The pay is minimum wage (not including the waiters dividing their tips to the host/hostess) So, I believe that the pay would be perfect for any teen who is looking for a job to get some cash and not be so lazy. So what should you do to prepare for a interview? Well, if you really want the job bring your SS# ,birth certificate, essay on why you believe your the one for the job, a reference page, a resumue about yourself. Dress nicely, have a smile on your face be outgoing and bright, shake the interviewers hand, make eye contact, do not lie, and once done with your interview thank them for taking the time to interview you. After you do those steps they should call you back telling you on if you have the job or not. GOOD LUCK ON THE JOB HUNT! (:

Liz Murray
The movie through my eyes showed to me on how much to appreciate life not everyone gets to have the same opportunity's as I do. Although her mother was a drug addict, alcoholic, and died due to having a illness. Liz Murray put the sadness and guilt behind and basically said "This is my time to move on from this life. I have a blank slot on life. I want to start fresh." she wanted to fulfill her dreams and life. She believed, she did not let anyone make her come down from the dreams she had. I think that my favorite part of the movie was when she noticed it was her time to think about herself, do what she believed and not let anyone knock her down. She didn't think that her friend(s) needed to be in the shoes that she is trying to get out of. Yet, her friends wanted to continue the homeless path. She didn't want that so she left them to succeed and be herself to fulfill her dreams. To do what she wanted to do, on her own.

COLLEGE BUDGET
I think that the biggest thing that had to open my eyes wide would be the amount of money it takes just between living on your own. IT IS A BIG RESPONSIBILITY!! I honestly expected that the apartment would be pretty high because of being so close to town. But, I did not expect though to spend as much as I thought I would just living on my own either (not saying that I am cheap) . Many realizations came to my mind about how expensive college will be once I get there it truly is unbelievable on how much you spend just on trying to make it through while trying to go to school to get a WAY better job and to follow your dreams. I now know that it is seriously crunch time, I need to focus on where I want to go to college, plan on how much money I need, start saving money and take my ACT and SAT.

MY FUTURE CAREER
The top career that I chose to pursue in my life in would be to become a pediatric nurse or, just a registered nurse. The medical field spoke a massive call to me when I was just a kid. I remember coming home from school one evening and watching untold stories of the ER seeing all the nurses run around helping and making kids and or just adults feel better with a smile on their face. I then thought to myself this is what I want to do. I told my mom as soon as the thought came to my mind. Still to this day she asks me why am I going to want to deal with sick or injured people. Well the final answer that I would like to say is that, I like to take care of people. To me taking care of people is just in my heart. I like to see the smile on peoples faces once they feel better and I could of possibly helped save a human beings life. But, I also am very fascinated with the way the human being works and reacts to things. such as science classes, health or medical classes. Those are always my favorites! That is why I would like to be a pediatric nurse or just a registered nurse.

My stress
Okay, so I took the test and came out to be a 14 out of 20. Which means that I am approaching the danger zone. I am starting to suffer and show stress-related symptoms and my relationships could be strained. It also mentioned that I need to think carefully about the choices I have make and take my own time out of my day to relax. What really makes me stress though is when I am TOO busy to sit and have time to myself and do the things I want to do. I am constantly on my toes between work, school and extra curricular actives. I also get stressed on the little things such as when people talk and I am trying to do my work. I usually deal with it by writing my problems in a notebook or I have stress pills that I take to make me calm down and relax.

"Scheduled"
My current organizational method is mainly everywhere. I am always busy and try to make time to study as much as I can. I also, try my best to make time for myself and family time. It works not that well. Just for the fact that I have to juggle between everything and I am bound to have someone mad at me for canceling a plan. Yes procrastination does hurt you and others, it takes too much time to procrastinate. It stresses you out and others because they can see it on your face every time you procrastinate. Procrastination is also known to cause failing grades/bad classroom participation and learning skills due to "over stressing/ procrastinating about certain things". You can fight procrastination by having certain study times and a on time right schedule.

About Kelsea Ables
A little about myself. I am a HUGE Baylor University fan. I plan on going to college to major in the medical field to hopefully become a RN. Some things that I would like to get from college transition is that, I am planning on learning about how to get college scholarships. What to look for in a college. Learning how much I will be spending on classes, books etc.
