Compare & Contrast
Comparing the style of teaching from Katherine Watson to Charles Dickens' is one of a kind. Why? Well from comparing Katherine Watson to Charles Dickens' I noticed Katherine had a different way of teaching not only from the professors at Wesley college but Charles Dickens' way too. Katherine saw her prospective of teaching after the girls studied the whole syllabus that was given at the beginning of the year. Katherine basically "Threw the book out the window" and taught the girls much more than what they memorized by just a book and some note cards, Katherine made the girls think outside of the box by not only looking at the painting but trying to connect to that painting or the painter some how. She made the girls teach themselves about the history of art. Katherine noticed that many of these women had great potential. As I stated Katherine made the girls think outside of the box by not only looking at the painting but by trying to connect to the painter as well. As Katherine quoted in the movie to the girls while looking at one painting she claims " You are not required to like it; just consider it."
